Lone Little Red House
I am sharing a photo as we return home from a morning walk. That
is my dog walking on the road. Can you see the house in the landscape? Likely not so I added another photo as we got
closer. Not many neighbours, eh? It is very quiet and I love it.
I drove over seven thousand kms in the month of December
back and forth during the move. That
seems incredible and some of the trips had pretty harrowing moments as I drove
through blizzards and unfamiliar roads dominated by transport trucks that need
to maintain a certain speed to get up the next big long hill. I gained a respect for those drivers who
drive on a regular basis in the North in all weather conditions. Even the Day & Ross driver who nearly ran
me off the highway during one trip in a storm, and in the dark, because we
couldn't see the road for the snow. I
ended up following him/her through the storm, glad that the truck made a path
on the highway for me to follow, despite my discomfort at the speed at which we
were travelling, it was more important to keep the truck in sight until we
passed through to calmer weather. And I thank God that I reached my destination
safely.
