Cranes

The cranes are long gone now for the winter.  While they were around, the fields were  filled with them, hundreds of them and daily they flew from one field to the other.  They are quite loud but luckily they are quiet during the night.

There has been a moose around but I have not seen it.  My neighbour saw it and he told me that it walked across the field behind my house a couple of times.

I also saw a giant woodpecker a few times - a Pileated Woodpecker which is the size of a crow.
