It Gets Cold Up Here
Today we are into warmer temperatures but on the weekend temperatures dropped to -26 without the windchill. My front door froze shut after the sun came up and melted the frost build up which then froze again at the bottom of the door. That explains why there are hammer indents along the edge of the door! The cold temperatures make for amazing sunrise and sunsets which reflect surreally in the sky 360 degrees. I have yet to capture those at their peak and photos will not portray the real beauty but they will be amazing none the less.
The other photo is of snow drifts in my back field.
Interesting Fact: Annual Moose Count. The Ministry of
Natural Resources and Forestry conducts a moose count every year via
helicopter, ideally after a significant snowfall to follow the moose tracks.
I have not yet seen a moose, but you will be sure to hear about
it when I do. 😀
