Battle of the Burrs

Noticing many burr bushes around, and getting tired of pulling burrs off of my boots and my dog and finding them around the house, I thought I should remove the plants now rather than wait for the snow to be gone.  The sun was out and the wind was still and temperatures around -14, a good day for outdoor work.  Many snow drifts in the field are still a foot deep so I had to carry the plants to a spot where I could eventually burn them, which is one of my silos - a safe contained spot to build a fire. I am only beginning but here is a photo of part of the pile of plants I cut today.

The other photo is of the sky this morning, looking west. The sunrise is reflecting in the sky where the (recent) full moon has yet to set.
